Russian bodybuilder Yan Salaks

Yan Salaks was born in 1976 in the city of Tskhinvali, Georgia. He is the son of the famous Latvian composer Vilnis Salaks and the famous Ossetian composer Zanaida Khabalova. In 1984 his family moved to Moscow, Russia. He started weight training at the age of 17yo and he won the NABBA Mr. Universe in 2005. Yan Salaks has been competing as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder from 2008 to 2011.
