Mamdouh Elssbiay (better known by the nickname "Big Ramy") is a super-heavyweight bodybuilder born in 1984 in Cairo, Egypt.
Former fisherman, he started working out and joined the biggest gym in Kuwait (Oxygen Gym) in 2010.
By 2011 he was up to 90kg/200lb and got his IFBB Card by winning the Overall Title at the 2012 Amateur Olympia in Kuwait City (he weighed 130kg/286lb), just 3 years after he started training.
In 2013 he made his professional debut at the New York Pro where he won the 1st place and defeated the huge Victor Martinez. At the 2015 Mr. Olympia, Big Ramy competed weighing 143kg/316lb and broke the record for the heaviest bodybuilder to have ever competed on the stage of the prestigious event! That year, he impressed not only with his good definition and symmetry but also because he was visibly the most massive muscular man on stage. Despite his body size, he didn't win the 2015 Mr. Olympia but looking at him, big bodybuilders like Roelly Winklaar and Branch Warren looked smaller in comparison.
Big Ramy currently lives in Kuwait and he is a Personal Trainer in Oxygen Gym.
Height: 178cm/5'10'' | Weight: 130-140kg/285-315lb - 150kg/330lb (Off season)
